I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been invited to be a monthly guest teacher for the upcoming Embodied Jyotish (Vedic Astrology) Certification program with my dear friend Swati.
In this one year certification course I am humbled and honored to share the timeless wisdom of Sanskrit and the profound insights of Vedic science in a monthly two hours class.
Together, we will explore the celestial realms and decode the ancient language of the stars, unveiling the mysteries of our existence through the sacred art of Vedic Astrology. Course begins in October.

VEDIC SCIENCE & SANSKRIT
A Monthly 2 hours class with Julia
Vedic Science is the ancient and systematic study of the sequential unfolding of creation, from the unmanifest to the manifest. It delves into the interaction, pulse, and witness of the fabric of creation, known as 'Samhita' or the togetherness of the Knower, Knowing, and Process of Knowing (Rishi, Devata, and Chhandas). This profound study aligns us with nature and its cycles, bringing us into balance and perpetuating 'dhárma'—that which upholds and supports truth. Illuminating that wholeness is contained at every point, akin to a seed value.
In this course, we will explore this narrative through the lens of the limbs of the Veda, which serve as a storehouse of creative intelligence and the story of creation witnessed through consciousness by ancient rishis and passed down through generations. The 'vedangas,' or limbs of the Veda, with Jyotish as the eyes, will be our focal point. We will also explore these ancient sciences through the lens of the 'Upangas' or six systems of Yogic Philosophy, mainly Yoga, Samkhya, and Vedanta. Additionally, we will delve into the 'Itihas' and 'Puranas,' relatable stories that embody the Grahas and their karakas (indicators).
Furthermore, we will embark on a journey into the roots of Sanskrit, the language of nature, encompassing 'Nama Rupa'—name and form. Together, we will begin to learn Devanagari script, and how to read and identify the alphabet. We will learn how to read terminology associated with Jyotish, some ślokas (verses) and sklokas (poems of praise) and expressions used within Vedic Science.
The primary aim of this course is to empower you to awaken your critical thinking and creative intelligence to embody the cosmos and gain a deeper understanding of yourself and the stars. As the saying goes, 'यथा पिण्डे तथा ब्रह्माण्डे'—'Yatha Pinde tatha Brahmande,' meaning that which is far away is also within.
